Who we are and why we built this tool.
Telegramdownloader.net was launched in 2024 by a small team of developers who kept running into the same problem: there was no simple, reliable way to save files from public Telegram channels without installing the app, logging in, or jumping through hoops. So we built one.
Simple tools should be simple to use. Our goal is to provide a fast, free, and privacy-respecting downloader that works for anyone — whether you're on a desktop in a home office or on a phone with one bar of signal. No paywalls. No dark patterns. No unnecessary data collection. Just paste a link, get your file.
Telegramdownloader.net supports all publicly shared Telegram content: videos (MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV), audio (MP3, FLAC, WAV), documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX), archives (ZIP, RAR, 7Z), and images. Files up to 4 GB are supported — Telegram's own maximum. Direct links are compatible with IDM, Aria2, Free Download Manager, and any browser. The interface is available in English, German, French, and Hindi, with more languages planned.
We never ask for your Telegram login credentials. We do not store files on our servers. Generated download links are temporary and expire automatically. We use Google Analytics for anonymous traffic data and Google AdSense for non-intrusive advertising — both disclosed in our Privacy Policy. APK files are blocked entirely for user safety.
We're a small, independent team. No VC funding, no corporate structure — just people who wanted a tool that worked and decided to build it properly.
Farid started Telegramdownloader.net in 2024 after growing frustrated with the lack of a truly free, no-login Telegram file saver. He handles product direction, SEO, and user experience.
Ali built and maintains the backend — the Python engine that resolves Telegram CDN links, handles rate limiting, and keeps downloads fast and reliable.
