At Telegramdownloader.net, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We've written it in plain language — no legalese.
Telegramdownloader.net is an independent web tool operated by Farid Honarvar and his team. We are not affiliated with Telegram Messenger. You can reach us via our contact page.
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate and improve the service:
Usage analytics (Google Analytics): Anonymous data including page views, session duration, device type, browser, and country. This data is aggregated and never tied to your identity. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Telegram links you submit: When you paste a Telegram link, it is forwarded to our backend server to resolve a direct download URL. We do not permanently store submitted links or associate them with any user identity. Processing is transient.
Server logs: Standard web server logs include your IP address, browser user agent, and request timestamps. These are used for security monitoring and abuse prevention, and are purged on a rolling basis.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily contact us. We do not collect your Telegram credentials — we never ask for them. We do not store the files you download. We do not sell your data to anyone.
We use cookies set by Google Analytics (analytics) and Google AdSense (advertising). Google may use these cookies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Google Analytics — traffic analysis. Google AdSense — non-intrusive advertising. Telegram servers (cdn.telegram.org) — the files themselves are hosted on Telegram's infrastructure; we do not control it.
All traffic to and from Telegramdownloader.net is encrypted via HTTPS. We do not store sensitive user data, which minimizes our exposure in the event of any security incident. We take commercially reasonable measures to protect the data we do handle.
If you are located in the European Union or California, you have specific rights regarding personal data. Since we collect very little identifying data, most requests can be handled simply by clearing your browser cookies and cache. For any formal request — access, correction, or deletion — please contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
