API terms of use

Last updated October 21, 2026. These terms apply to the API at https://telegramdownloader.net/api. The main website has its own terms.

What you may use the API for

The API reads posts that anyone can already open on Telegram without joining anything. You may use it to build apps, bots and tools that help people get files from those public posts.

You are responsible for what your users download through your integration. Copyright law applies to files from Telegram as it does anywhere else. Do not use the API to:

• run a public site or bot whose main purpose is distributing pirated films, series, music, books or software;
• get around Telegram's content protection or any other access restriction;
• distribute malware, illegal material or material that exploits anyone;
• resell or share your API key, or offer the API itself to others as your own API.

Keys and accounts

One account per person or company. Keep your keys secret: every successful call made with your key is counted against your plan, whoever made it. Revoke a key straight away in your dashboard if you think it leaked.

Plans and payments

• Plans are prepaid for the period shown, usually 30 days. Requests that are not used by the end of the period expire, unless you buy again before it ends, in which case they carry over.
• Payments are made in cryptocurrency. Send the exact amount on the network you chose. A transfer on the wrong network or to the wrong address may not be recoverable.
• Because only successful requests are counted, payments are not refunded once a plan is active. If the service is unavailable for a long period because of a fault on our side, contact us and we will extend your plan.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the API fast and available, but it depends on Telegram and we cannot promise it will be available without interruption. We may change limits or prices for future periods. Prices you already paid for do not change.

Privacy

We store your email address, your invoices and a log of API calls (time, post link, status, the IP addresses involved and file details) so you can see your usage and so we can prevent abuse. Logs are deleted after 120 days. We do not sell this data.

Suspension

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or that receives credible abuse reports, and block channels or file types that are being misused. When the breach is clear we may do so without notice and without refund.
